Are restricted sites in CKA exam automatically blocked

Hi,

I would like to ask whether the exam blocked restricted sites - I would like to make sure what I am accessing on the exam is allowed and not going to a site that is restricted. Thanks

Hi @Phatman

You can open the sites listed in the allowed list of resources during the exam. Even if you accidentally try to open a site that is not on the allowed list, the exam env may block those sites.

Linux Foundation says

Unauthorized sites are blocked, i.e. they will not load, so you will not receive a penalty. Keep in mind that the search function at kubernetes.io/docs may sometimes point to results outside the documentation (e.g. discussion forum) - you will not be able to open URLs that are not nested under kubernetes.io/docs domain.

Thats great, thanks Alistair. I can feel at ease now that i wont open any restricted sites and get a penalty and any links that work from the kubernetes docs (even external) is fine as they have been approved.

Either way, still try to avoid clicking on external links. Proctors have been known to get shirty about it.
