Am I ready for the CKA? (KodeKloud Mocks vs. Killer.sh Difficulty)

Hi everyone,

I recently completed the “Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) with Practice Tests” course, including all the hands-on labs. I am currently trying to gauge my readiness for the actual exam and would love some insight from those who have already passed.

My Current Progress:
I completed all 3 KodeKloud Mock Exams with scores of 100, 90, and 100.

I recently attempted one of the Killer.sh simulator exams, but I struggled with time management and was not able to finish all the questions within the allotted time.

My Questions for the Community:
Difficulty Comparison: How does the difficulty of the KodeKloud Mock Exams compare to the real CKA exam? Are they on par, or slightly easier?

Killer.sh Reality Check: Is the Killer.sh simulator more representative of the actual exam’s difficulty and time constraints, or is it intentionally harder?

Exam Readiness: Given my 100/100 scores on the KodeKloud mocks but my time struggles on Killer.sh, would you consider me ready to sit for the real exam, or should I focus on speeding up my Killer.sh workflow first?

Any tips on time management or bridging the gap between KodeKloud and the real exam environment would be greatly appreciated!

You’re probably ready, judging by your mock scores. killer.sh is harder than the real exam, but it’s very useful as:

  • Preparation for the actual exams layout and format.
  • Learning more about how to solve difficult CKA-style questions.

So take advantage of the killer.sh sessions, run them multiple times, and study the solution pages carefully, because you can learn a lot from them. But don’t worry about the difficulty.
