I’m going through the CKS course and in the CIS related lab, on question #7 - I did the exact thing I was instructed to do and still the question check shows like something is wrong, see the attached image:

It does appear that the report and the hint have diverged:
The report asks you to do:
echo "Authorized use only. All activity may be monitored and reported." > /etc/issue.net
but the hint tells you to do
echo "Authorized use only. All activity may be monitored and reported." > /etc/issue
and the hint passes, the report approach does not.
