Unable to connect private instance using peering

Hi Team,
I’m at day49 in 100 days cloud(AWS) tasks. Unable to connect private instance. not getting response to ssh ubuntu@ -J ec2-user@ command.
Pls suggest me how to connect private instance via public instance and how to copy .pem file. Give me proper steps to complete this task.

I have refered that link too, unable to connect private instance and unable to copy .pem key. Pls refer me steps how to do that process.

Were you able to SSH into the public instance? After setting everything up, you should be able to SSH into the private instance from the public instance.

Yes I can able to SSH to public instance. but failed to connect private instance and copying .pem key

This means the peering hasn’t been set up properly yet. Please check it and share a screenshot.
