Wasim Khan:
Thanks @Mumshad Mannambeth & Kodekoud team.
I have successfully cleared CKS certification on 2nd Oct.
It was wonderful learning experience from starting absolute beginner in K8s last year to reaching this level.
PSI secure browser experienced was not so well as I faced technical issues 2 times.
1st time when I appeared for exam, I lost 50 minutes without even attempting 1st question as my exam window inside PSI browser got closed within few seconds when Procter gave the control, so I did not continue with the exam(I did not open even bash terminal) and instead only raised the support ticket.
Almost after 5 days they acknowledge the technical issue and reset my 1st attempt so I appeared for exam 2nd time after a week.
But 2nd time as well I faced similar technical issue and around 25 minutes were already lost when I could start attempting 1st question. This time despite lost of 25 minutes, I continue attempting questions but at the end I could not attempt around 5 questions. During exam I faced issue with bash terminal as well as auto-completion was not working at all so I had to type everything. And result was that I got only 60%. For this as well I raised support ticket to PSI and then Linux Foundation and after 3 days they acknowledge the technical issue and again reset my 1st attempt(Frankly, I had less hope that they would reset my 1st attempt for 2nd time, but they do acknowledge the issue and reset the attempt after investigation).
After this I appeared for exam again on 1st Oct and this time everything was smooth. Did not face any technical issue and cleared the exam easily with 84%. I know where I lost the marks as I got confused in one of the question’s statement related to falco and another one related to admission-control-config in json format instead of yaml. Otherwise everything was very easy!
(I would say easy only because I had practice hands on labs and mock(including killer shell) several times before appearing for exam.)

Hi @Wasim Khan
congratulation on clearing the CKS exam (well deserved), I can only imagine the pain u had to go thought due to the technical issues with PSI.
I am planning to take the exam in about a months time.
I have 16" Macbook, was wondering if that would be good enough (some folks were suggesting to use an external monitor..)
What was the size of ur screen/monitor which u used to take the exam (any suggestions on this) ?
Aaron Smith:
@denis.dsouza I recently took and passed the CKS on a 16 inch Macbook. It was cramped but you can use the +/- buttons in the PSI Bridge app to reduce the size of the environment.
Shwetha:
@Aaron Smith I am also planning to use 16" Macbook for the exam. Any other tips that would be useful?
Aaron Smith:
nope not really. You just need to shrink the environment down to what’s comfortable for you
Aaron Smith:
using those buttons
denis.dsouza:
@Aaron Smith
wanted to know if the MacBook on which u took the exam runs on M1 (ARM) ?
Seems that M1s r not supported for PSI exam.
