OK Thanks @rob_kodekloud
Can you guide me which one is best CKS or CKAD? which should I select?
Depends on your interests. CKS is a lot harder, but I think is more sought after, since security is a hotter topic.
Its means CKS is more better than CKAD
“Better” is not necessarily “better for you”
If you’ve done CKA, CKAD is pretty easy, but covers some additional topics that cover things developers of K8s application will find useful. CKS covers security tooling. So it depends what your goals are.
CKS and CKAD exams are officially managed by the Linux Foundation, even though they were developed in collaboration with the CNCF since both are part of the Kubernetes ecosystem. CNCF sets the standards and direction for Kubernetes, but all exam registration, delivery, and certification management go through the Linux Foundation’s platform.
If you ever need help with scheduling, rescheduling, or verifying results, the Linux Foundation and PSI handle those parts - not CNCF.

Kodekloud CKAD certification exam course is free or paid, or what is CKAD standard plan?
KodeKloud CKAD course isn’t free, it’s part of their paid subscription plans. You can access it through the Standard Plan, which gives you access to the CKAD course along with other DevOps and Kubernetes-related labs. Basically, the CKAD Standard Plan includes the full course, hands-on labs, and practice environments to help you prepare for the CKAD exam effectively. It’s a great option if you want both video lessons and real, interactive practice!
I check Kodekloud CKAD course but their pricing plan confusing me can you guide me about their plans? and what type of exam material includes in this course.
Yeah, I totally get that, their pricing page can look a bit confusing at first. Basically, KodeKloud has a few plans, but for the CKAD course, the Standard Plan is the one you really need. It gives you access to the full CKAD course, all the video lessons, and those super helpful hands-on labs where you can actually practice working with Kubernetes, just like you’ll do in the real exam.
If you want even more stuff like career paths and extra premium labs, then the Pro Plan has those. But honestly, for CKAD prep, the Standard Plan covers everything you’ll need.
The course itself includes video tutorials, practice labs, CKAD mock exams, and scenario-based exercises that walk you through every topic tested in CKAD - like Pods, Deployments, ConfigMaps, Secrets, networking, and troubleshooting. It’s very practical, and the labs make a huge difference in understanding how things actually work.
Also i check a KCNA post in kodekloud community where thirdparty resources are mention. Can we use third party resources for CKAD exam preparation or test your exam preparation knowledge?
Good question! Yeah, you can definitely use third-party resources to prepare for the CKAD - there’s no restriction on that. A lot of people actually combine KodeKloud’s course with other materials to strengthen their knowledge. For example, some use Kubernetes official documentation, practice exams from sites like Pass4Future, or even YouTube tutorials and GitHub repos with CKAD challenges.
KodeKloud’s course gives you a solid foundation and realistic labs, but using a few third-party resources can help you see things from different angles and test how ready you are for the real exam. Just make sure whatever you use sticks closely to the official CKAD curriculum so your practice stays relevant.
Does Pass4Future is a trusted Platform as a additional resource?
That’s a really fair question, I totally get where you’re coming from. It’s smart to double-check before trusting any third-party resource. So yes, Pass4Future does have a Trustpilot page, and their current rating is around 3.0, which is pretty average but not bad at all for an exam prep site. If you actually read through the reviews, you’ll see a lot of positive feedback from people who used their practice questions and found them helpful for understanding the real exam format.
What makes Pass4Future stand out is that they don’t just dump random questions. Their content is regularly updated and aligned with the latest CKAD exam objectives, which is exactly what you want. It’s meant to complement your study, not replace your main resource like KodeKloud. Think of it as a practice booster to test your readiness before you sit for the actual exam.
So, if you’re already using KodeKloud for learning, adding Pass4Future just for practice tests can be a solid combo. You get the real hands-on experience from KodeKloud and the exam-style question practice from Pass4Future , that’s a strong prep strategy overall.
To very clear – NO IT IS NOT.
We have a firm policy on this site – the sale or promotion of exam dumps is a cause for being banned from using this site. The Linux Foundation has an NDA policy that we follow very strictly, and exam dumps form LF exams make them angry enough to reach out to us and complain. So in general, if I see any posts promoting a company selling exam dumps, I delete the posts on sight, and usually ban the users responsible as well.
So, to all of you – don’t do that ![]()
We treat them as spammers, and attempts to post by those companies get immediately banned and blocked. We also discourage our users here from soliciting exam dumps, and will ban and block any user that persists in doing it.
As trainers, the Linux Foundation expects us to enforce the exam NDA. And we do, pretty zealously. Since we don’t want to annoy them, at all.
@rob_kodekloud
I completely understand your concern about preventing spam and enforcing the NDA, that’s essential to maintaining the forum’s credibility. But I do think there’s some inconsistency in how this is being handled, and I agree with what the original poster is pointing out.
For instance, there are other discussions like the one here: https://kodekloud.com/community/t/cnpa-exam-questions-certified-cloud-native-platform-engineering-associate-linux-foundation/487398) where similar exam-related topics are allowed and discussed openly. These threads aren’t promoting dumps; they’re usually learners trying to understand the nature of the exam and sharing conceptual or practice-level questions.
So, completely blocking or banning every user who mentions external study content feels a bit unfair when similar discussions exist elsewhere in reputable learning communities.
