Azure level 2 tasks

Is there some issue with Azure level 2 tasks?
I’ve tried multiple times, every time the session timesout.

Can someone check and confirm if it is happening just for me or if it is a bug?

Hi @Srikanth_Reddy,

For which Task in Azure Level 2? Please share the name.

Hi @Tej-Singh-Rana ,

Can you check the second task?
Actually you can try any task in Azure Level 2. After like 20 retires I could finish the first task.
Now I’m facing same issue with second task. I haven’t tried the remaining tasks in this level.

Hi @Srikanth_Reddy ,

Sorry, but I didn’t get your point. Please clear the following things:

  1. The lab is not loading and is timing out.
  2. The lab loads fine, but I am encountering an issue within the task.

Regards,

I checked task 2 of the Azure Level 2, and that lab loads fine for me.

Hey @Tej-Singh-Rana ,

Sorry for the late reply.
Were you able to finish the task as well?

Lab loads fine. However, after 10-15mins the session timesout.
For the second task, by the time I make configuration changes to create an instance from the azure portal the KK engineer portal timesout.

Hi @Srikanth_Reddy ,

I am not facing a session timeout. The session is still alive with 10 minutes remaining.

Hi @Tej-Singh-Rana ,

Did you create the VM from Azure Portal or through CLI?

I could finish the task but only after multiple tries. Most of the time KK engineer portal shows the following page(screenshot) after 10-15 mins when I click Review + Create button after specifying the config as per the requirement of the task.

Hi @Srikanth_Reddy,

I created a VM from the Azure portal and then used the CLI to list the VM.

When you started the task, you opened the Azure portal with the given credentials. Later, when you returned (after 10-15 mins gap) to the quiz page to validate your work, you saw this page without doing anything (such as refreshing the browser). Am I understanding correctly?

I need some clarification so I can reproduce this and provide you with the exact reason for it.

Yes, you are correct. I did not refresh the quiz page.

So here is what I did:

  • Start the task
  • Use credentials to login to portal
  • In the portal -
    • Click Create VM (of size Standard_B1s, location eastus, change os disk to use standard HDD, user data, port 80 open and few other specs)
    • Click Review + Create, if validation passes then click Create
  • By the time the VM gets created the quiz page shows that error page.

I don’t mind joining a call to show it on my machine, if required.
